I have a case of Voorpret!

I don’t think voorpret is contagious, but who knows, it might be. Voorpret is a Dutch word which has no direct translation to English. Loosely translated voorpret means the emotion you feel anticipating something, such as a vacation. Love this word! I have never been able to accurately capture how I feel anticipating travel.
Preparing for my first European river cruise, I am suffering from voorpret. Guess suffering isn’t the right word. I am eagerly anticipating or voorpreting (is that a word?) this trip.
I am now in final countdown mode with clothes pre-packed, mail hold on file and air travel confirmed. Can’t wait to step off the plane in Amsterdam and board the cruise ship to start a 15 day adventure. Am sure it will be a great learning experience, full of good food, beautiful sights and wonderful culture. Lots of voorpret right now, if you couldn’t tell.
Here’s to hoping you have something you can voorpret about soon.
Happy travels!
